This book tells the story of Henry DeTamble, the explorers of time. The ability to explore at this time due to a genetic mutation that makes Henry spontaneously able to walk through time, disappearing from view, leaving everything, and got another different time and place naked. This is a curse. Henry often small crimes to get their own food and clothes when they arrive at a place, and must be run from the people, thugs, or policemen. Although Henry returned to the present, but he brought his body in a state of the wounds. Sometimes he traveled back in time in the version he had ever experienced before. One of the most frequently visited is the meadow behind Clare's house. They met there and fell in love.
