Lady and the Vamp

Book Review   by:AnnieG     Original Author: Michelle Rowan

Lady and the Vamp is the third book in Michelle Rowans
Immortality Bites Series. This book features former vampire hunter Michael
Quinn as he volunteers to drive a werewolf Matthew Barkley back home but when
they arrive they are chased out of town by another werewolf who has taken of
the pack.

While at a diner they meet Janie Parker and her partner
Lenny who were told by their Boss that a seer had revealed that a vampire and
werewolf at that location would have an artifact known as they eye. Janie knows
that if she doesn’t find and return the eye to her boss then not only is she
dead but her long lost sister is too. However, meeting up with former family
friend Michael is stirring deep feeling in her.

When the search for the eye leads them to Las Vegas they
unfortunately end up in the same hotel that has a vampire convention. While
trying to hide from the vampire slayers Janie get attacked and is turned into a
vampire, but the good news is that she also manages to find her long lost
sister. At first her sister doesn’t recognize her and it is later revealed that
a witch put a curse on her that erased her memories of who she had been before
the curse.

During this time they not only find the eye but find out
that Janie’s boss is actually a demon trapped on Earth who wants the eye back
to restore his power. For a while it looks like they might not survive but with
the help of the vampire hunters they destroy the demon.

This book was an enjoyable read but not as funny or as
interesting as the previous books in the series.
