When Alexandria Houton goes to meet a possible employer at a
restaurant for a job interview she gets more than she bargained for. While at
the interview Alexandria senses evil all around her and leaves the restaurant
to go look for her little brother who was with an acquaintance. While leaving the
restaurant she trips to over a dead body and sees her little brother along with
other women walking in a trance towards a monster. A Carpathian turned into a mad vampire.
Consumed by evil he thinks that he can convert Alexandra into his life mate.
Though once turned into vampire a Carpathian has no hope of redemption.
Attacked by a vampire
who drinks her blood and tried to turn her Alexandria is trapped by the vampire
hoping to escape and trying to protect her bother.
While hunting a vampire Aidan Savage comes upon a woman
covered in blood hovering over a small boy. Believing that the woman had been
turned into an evil vampires he attacked the woman in order to save the by.
When the boy tells Aiden to leave his sister alone he has to
rethink his perception about the woman. While looking at her he realizes that
the blood on her is red. Aiden is seeing in color one of the first signs that
he has found his life mate.
Psychically checking out Alexandra he realizes that she was
not turned into evil vampiress but was protecting her brother from him who she
viewed as a threat. He takes both Alexandria and her little brother Joshua home
where he protects them. He realizes that in order to save her life Alexandria
he has to turn her into a Carpathian.
Once Alexandria is turned she has to come to terms with now
being a Carpathian and having to drink blood. She also has to come to terms
with being Aiden’s life mate. They both come to love each other and have to
live together while at the same time raising Alexandria’s little brother and
protecting themselves from vampires.
