BE STILL MY VAMPIRE HEART (Book 3 Love at Stake Series)

by Kerrelyn Sparks

When the Russian-American coven mater of the malcontent
vampires, who call themselves the true ones because they believe in feeding
from biting mortals, accuse coven master Roman Dragonesti of being behind the
recent slayings of malcontents in central park he sends security company owner
Angus Mckay to investigate.

When Angus teleports into Central Park to investigate the
slaying he finds a young woman being accosted by a flasher and he tries to help
her. Bemoaning the fact here are no warriors like the ones from history Emma
Wallace is stunned when she meets Scottish warrior Angus Mckay and wonder just
precisely does a Highland warrior wear under a kilt.

When Angus finds out that the slayer is mortal FBI agent
Emma Wallace he tells her that there are good bottle drinking vamps and bad
biting human vamps. Emma’s parents were killed by a vampire so Emma believes
that all vampires are bad vampires and struggles to believe that the bottle
drinking vamps who drink synthetic blood are any better than the malcontents.

When the malcontents discover that Emma is the slayer and
that Angus was with her in Central Park they tell their leader. Who demands
that they capture Emma and Angus and turn them over to him.

When the malcontents capture them both of the good vamps and
the head of the F.B.I stake it team who hates vampires team up to save them.

This book was a funny and interesting read. I didn’t give
away the ending and there is so much more to the story than the bare overview I
gave. A great read.
