I was listening to the BBC Radio 2 which is apparently not illegal in this country even thugh I must admit I was amazed to
read the BBC are banning online BBC even though we have paid gotten permission to read BBC Blogs so all that was left was to complain in the stoic familiar way of the BBC and its latest edict online - fortunately the US does not impose worldwide bans on writers irrespective of what the agreements are and one is not threatened by America but then has freedom of information act and a right to publish in America .. so Congratulations to America on its constitutional Rights for US citizens. I got caught up in all of this writing fever in Ireland and I met President Clinton amidst a huge number of media men and woman and got myself an invitation to the Press Arena ... as a result of my and Our endeavours my Book .. Rock Me is published in America .. first time ever and is for sale in America! However - the complaints Club state clearly that: a: they cannot get it easily in the UK: The US does not Sell here in the UK (all my readers are in Britain)and that everytime they ask the Young Man at Waterstones Bookstore in every High Street in England .. he replies: I have never heard of SM Thompson! What am I to do?
I fortunately used to live in
California in the 1970s so I receive a weekly blog from California Literary Review which keeps me bang up to date in writing in ... dare I say it ... America!
"Important Artifacts and Personal Property from the
Collection of Lenore Doolan - Harold Morris - Books, Fashion Jewelry by Leanan Shapton" that's a good beginning and the blog apparently quoting from the New York Times . starts with the line .... (take a deep breath .. my line not the NY Times) and .. This is how the story goes . Boy and girl meet - fall in love - stale story ; New York Times how to reinvent this story to make it live again .... climax .. She was Pretty! - The effect of jewelry on a relationship (California Literary Revie) and "Noah's ex girlfriend was exceptionally beautiful but refuses to acknowledge it!". Whew! A link here with this writer .... I was described in those terms at 17 but I was banned from acknowledging it as it wasnt seen as fit to me to be vain selfish and arrogant so perhaps that is the reason why - Noah's Girlfriend finds herself in this story - in the same position as this writer. California Literary Review .. great work!
