creations in the world despite the effort put in never getrecognized. Yet someothers gets public
limelight without being
thebest. My friend Sancho written by AmitVarma, is a fitting examplefor the latter. I was travelling when I got hold of this "Literarypiece" and I was able to complete reading it in 2 hours flat. I mustadmit thoughthat I had a tough time controlling myself fromlaughing out loud while reading thecountless punch lines in thenovel. But that's all folks...that's all that could be creditedto it.The story is based on a bong journalist Abhir who is the crimereporter in a Mumbaibased daily publication. Police constable ,Thambe helps Abhir with informations whichhelps him arrive atcrime scenes on time and get hot stuff for his newspaper. Duringonesuch call, Thambe informs him of a possible encounter with agangster. But theshootout that follows ends up taking the life ofan innocent Muslim accountant Iqbal .Abhir is handed over anassignment to prepare a biographical account of Iqbal to depicthisinnocence. Muneeza, Iqbal's daughter helps him. They develop agood relationship inthe process. The subject is romance but it islaced with quite a few issues on Mumbai,terrorism,religious divideand other serious stuffs. The story seems to be incompletewith thereader feeling ditched in the middle of the road. It's such a shortbook andunlike other books ,this one is so casually written that thereader feels like he isreading a blog instead .The cover of the bookis attractive and innovative andinfluences a lot in the purchasingdecision of the customer.Still don't have a clue whythe lizard makesan entry in the story. I still admit I enjoyed reading this blog...er...novel tremendously but seriously ,you have that deep down feelingwhether the 250+bucks you have spend on it was really worth afterall.
