A hero died. Or did he? Commander Charles "Trip" Tucker died after trying to save his
Captain and the Enterprise. But events
are not what they seem and
history may have been altered to change the facts that are known. The story begins with Nog coming to visit Jake Sisko in the early twenty-fifth century to show him some information that he discovered about the founding of the Federation. In doing so, they discover two different histories. One that is known and everyone believes and the other that was hidden and altered. As the story unfolds, we begin to learn how history should have unfolded. We learn that Shran wasn'' t marrried yet, and had no child, but the woman he loved and her bondmates were
kidnapped. The other history that was told, was the fact that he had a child that was kidnapped and he asked Captain Archer to help him. Both histories Archer helped. The Aenar, the ones that were kidnapped, were in fact, kidnapped by Romulans for nefarous means. And as the told history goes, Trip sacarificed his life to save the ship and his captain. The untold facts were that he and the Captain, and several others, came up with a plan to make it look like Trip died so he could go undercover and stop the Romulans from doing what they have plans to do. So we learn much in this book that I think is a direct sequel to the last episode of Enterprise: These Are The Voyages..... It also helps to make us understand the last episode. It makes a better ending then the one we were given. I won''t say anymore. You just have to read this book to find out what happens next.
