Equal Rites is a book about what happens when a woman steps into a mans shoes. Or rather, gets a mans staff. And of course,
there is a trip, and a witch, and some wizards, a genius, some monsters, and a lot of magic bursting around. All the makings of a great book.
You could say that Equal Rites is a book about the difference between men and women. And you wouldn’t be wrong. But then again, you could also say that it’s a book about the difference between being book-smart and just feeling the heartbeats of the world. And, again, you wouldn’t be wrong. You could also say that this is a book about travel, or about growing up, or about power, or about kindness, or about the quantum physics and again, you wouldn’t be wrong.
This is simply another Terry Pratchett book, which basically means that it’s a book about everything. And it’s really funny.
