In this book the ancient gods are portrayed in a such a diffferent way than ever before.
Zues helps
Promethus in his own way, but intends to torment him. Making him belieave that he is truely free. By giving him an impossible task, "You must find a hero" Zeus tells him.
In this side cracking, wisecracking book. Promethus enbarks on an adventure that he has never see before. He goes into the future where the world is full of smoke and fog. He mets two people, one a young boy and an older man both are thief's in their own way.
As an adult, I see where this book is going and I love it. It"s just that it's writen in such a way that it keeps you turning the pages.
After stealing some stuff, the three try to run away only to be followed. There is one lesson here in the whole book, something that Zeus wanted to do to his own cousin to teach him a lesson. "You should not have givin the humans fire" Zeus had said which by the way sets up the rest of the book.
I give Terry Deary a thumbs up, well done.
