When I first attack it I read a good potion of the book, I would say about half of it. Which took a long time and then I read another book.I find it''s very well writen and all but It''s just too damn long.
The Starks are just stark raving mad as this book goes on, their explots and how they live with each other is very appoaling. I found on the back on the book it says it''s an epic of which just doesn''t measure up to anything at all. The book it self has no real story, each and every chapter is interesting in it self. It maybe easy to read, but it confuses you. I"m still reading it today. That''s right, it has been a year and a half and I''m now nearly three quarters through it.
This is not an epic, it''s boring all the way through except the battles and death defying stunts that each and every charactor goes through.
I''m not putting it down in anyway, I do enjoy it to some degree.
It may not have the epic portions but you do get caught up with all the scandle and back stabing along with the interesting notion that there might be some story to it.
There is vay too much detail and it does move, actually it''s a better read than Lord of the Rings. A Game of Thrones is its own master piece, over written but it is slightly over eight hundred pages.
I call these monster books, of which I''m trying to do as well. But the fact remains, if you think your up for a challenge than go for it. No one should stop you from reading a book even if it is boring for one person and not the next.
There are books on my selves that are much thinner and are much better to read.
Go for it. Make that choice if you dare cause once you start reading this book, there''s no backing down. Some people give up reading a differcult but, well I''m not one of them since I never give up on a book.
