The dangerous pixie,Opal Koboi was supposed to be resting in a deep coma.The moment she woke up she would be taken to a
fairy jail.Atleast that's what the doctor,Argon thought.It's funny just how wrong someone can be.
Opal had arranged that two of her partners,the Brill brothers to escape with her.The Brill brothers completed their work and Opal was out again.She had previously been thwarted by Commander Root,Inspector Holly Short(fairies),Foaly(a centuar) and Artemis Fowl.Her prime objective was to kill them and gain world domination.Artemis had already been mindwiped and had no knowlede regarding the fairy people.
Root was tricked and killed and Opal found a way to put Holly to blame.Holly had to run away and save Artemis from Opal.
Meanwhile,Artemis was trying to steal a priceless painting.Opal had already switched it with a copy.Artemis beat some of the highest security and stoole the painting,the youngest to do so,atleast that's what he thought.
When Artemis and his butler,Domovoi,returned to the hotel,Domovoi saw a missile heading towards the room and escaped with Artemis.Since Domovoi had jumped through the window on a matress the impact of the fall ha not been fatal.But there were many broken bones.Domovoi could not move.
Holly arrived and took Artemis with her to jog his memories back and help her defeat Opal.Artemis woke up unawares of what was happening.Opal arrived and Holly and Artemis were shot with blue charges,making them unconscious.Opal left them to die in an area full of giant,wild trolls.
In the fairy land,Mulch Diggums had escaped from prison with a gold medallion which Artemis had given him.Mulch found that the medallion was actually a
disc made by Artemis to regain his memory on the fairies.Mulch met Domovoi who opened the disc on a computer and regained his memories as he too had beed mindwiped.They set out to save Holly and Artemis.
Holly and Artemis had managed to escape from the
trolls for sometime with Holly's command and Artemis' wit.But they were climbing a mountain away from the trolls when their luck dried out and death seemed a certainty.But Mulch and Domovoi saved them and Artemis' memory returneed when he saw the disc.
Artemis planned a
smart and cunning attack on Opal which caught her unawares.She was captured by the LEP and Holly' criminal papers were destroyed.
Holly could not stand continuing to be an LEP officer since she detested the new commander,Sool.She quit and started her own criminal investigation,Mulch Diggums her partner.Holly gave Artemis a hand held television shortly before he was darted by the
fairies and sent back to his house,Fowl Manor.
Hence,she could speak to him from it when she wished.Artemis started his work by steaaling items from robbers themselves and sending it to musuems.Apparently,he somehow had a good streak in him.
The next book has been published and is known as Artemis Fowl and The Last Colony.Artemis finally meets his match in a young girl about his age.
Try to get every book in the Artemis Fowl series.It's written amazingly well and can be compared with
Harry Potter and
Eragon.A fantastic read with dozens of sarcastic and
witty comments.
