Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone

Book Review by: francescomoscheri

Original Author: J. K. Rowlings
Let's say the truth: the motivation of the success of Harry Potter saga is not easy to be spotted.
Its hero, little
magician with rounded glasses, doesn't inspire much sympathy. And his stories are rather fabulous - considering this attribute in its childish meaning, not the most authorial one. But nowadays, Harry Potter sells. Its target of readers is very big: not only teenage readers, but also adults and old fashioned romantic people. This can be considered the reason of its success: a varied and large target of readers. J.K. Rowlings has the gift to depict situations and facts with a very direct and expressive style. For this reason, even this novel gets directly to the imagination of the reader. It's a fantastic story, where the moral hidden on the background is the neverending fight between the Good and the Evil.
Of course, Harry is the paladin of the Good, but he's still a young hero. He must collect more experiences, and the experiences don't need him to go to look for them. His path is full of events and meetings with new mysterious people, who have always something to teach him - and so Harry's consciousness grows and takes more shaped form
If you are in holiday and you want some relaxing reading on the beach, this novel can suit to your expectations. Easy to read, it flows easily and can also provide some emotions.
