Stardust

Book Review by: ViolettaDupres

Original Author: Neil Gaiman
Welcome to a world that will pull you in with soft, tenuous tendrils of smoke and shadow and stardust, and make you believe
in magic. The charming, old-world feel of this book has something for every fantasy lover, with all the romance, breathtaking adventure, evil and sorcery and intrigue any fairy tale could ever aspire to have. It is at heart a coming-of-age tale, this story of young Tristran Thorn who goes in search of a fallen star to prove his love to the beautiful Victoria Forrester. But things are never what they seem in Faerie, and Tristran finds himself, and a lot of other unexpected things, along the way.
Stardust is the work of a storyteller who plies his craft with ease and mastery. Witches, ghosts, princes and princesses, ships that fly and bloodthirsty woods, spells and curses and magical creatures - you will fall in love with it all. You will find yourself wishing for the book to never end, each page that takes you closer to the superb and subtle climax. It is by turns grim and sweet and sad and wonderful, for that is the mark of a true fairy tale. Prepare to be enchanted.
