The Painted Man

Book Review by: ihateu

Original Author: Peter V. Brett
For fantasy lover out there, The Painted Man is a must read! If I had to review this book in one word, it'd be "Excellent"
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let the review begin!
Brett doesn't disapoint with his first novel. HIs conventional & laidback writing style tells the story of a world where darkness equated death with efortless ease. The book takes on the stories of 3 young protagonists-a young boy named Arlen, whose fathers' cowardice let loose the demons on his own mother, a girl named Leesha, whose overbearing mother & dimwit fiancee both turned the events of her life & Rojer, a child whose family was brutally killed. These 3 have a fate in store for them that inevitably lead them to each other, and to the coming of the painted man. The first installment of this trilogy leaves readers with a need for more.
Fast paced, imaginative & descriptive, The Painter Man is a book that provides raw imagination, fantastical creatures & a plot that weaves a thick web around your mind. Enjoy!
