Stardust

Book Summary by: Jeffi

Original Author: Neil Gaiman
This abstract was translated from Csillagpor

The book itself is like a fantasy world. It is a really well-written volume. The author handles words quite well, the
language is really sophisticated. There are witches and magical elements in it. It is unique in a sense that it does not predict everyday clishes, that is what makes it a pleasant reading. It is digestible, according to many, once one starts reading it, cannot put it down unless they finished it. Many of the author''s books have been published in Hungary.
This is a tale-like book - although meant for adults -, not exactly a fairy tale but with many magical elements in it. The main character undergoes some great character development that is well-traceable.
The quite new film version of this book is remarkably good. The film and the book are similar in many ways but in choosing the better version, the choice would definitely be the book; simply because the movie is too much of a Hollywood movie with a love story in it (however, I still consider it quite a good one).
