The Wheel of time series was first published on the early 90's (1990 to be exac). To those who do not know the novel, I would strongly recommend reading it from the beginning, not skipping a book, a chapter or a phrase, as you might miss a small piece of information which a few books away will pop up again as an answer to something which had happened. That's how amazing the style of the series is. At any rate, our subject here is the end of the series which is getting closer and closer (estimated date for the release date of "A Memory of Light" - the final book is early 2012), and the changes which are taking place in the world of the novel. Seems like the latest book released - "The Gathering Storm", Had closed up some loose strings, but opened up many more. A new relationship between the main hero and villain is revealed, unforeseen deaths and conflicts accrue, and the tension is constantly rising from one event to the other. To the veteran fans, Brandon Sanderson's work was brilliant, as he worked to really complete Robert Jordan's work as if is just using his words. I could barely feel this book was half written by another author. The big challenge will be in the following books though, as the main work, almost 90% of it, will be written by Brandon Sanderson.
The end is near, more and more theories pop up on fan sites all over the web, as the next book, "Towers of Midnight" is due in a couple of months. The betrayals, deaths and conflicts awaits, and true fans can hardly wait.
To those of you who do not know the series, and do enjoy a good fantasy book, with genuine world and rules of its own, rush out and get the books, you will not regret it once you're caught into the Wheel.
[The review do not give out any information about what’s going on within the books as it is not a spoiler review, perhaps just a teaser to get you guys into that amazing world. Again, I urge you to read the books, you will not go back once you had.]
The series itself had somewhat of success outside the literature world, as it was given a computer game (which has nothing to do with the novel’s story, just using its world and rules), whilst a new game is being developed, a D&D setup game had been published long ago, and a movie might be made in the future. For more details about the novel, I had published several links which might be on an interest.
I hope this had been informative,
