The Amulet of Samarkand is the first edition of The Bartimaeus Trilogy fantasy novel made by Jonathan Stroud. The series has became one of New York Times Bestseller’s novel and receive lots of appreciation from fantasy novel lovers. 
The story will be opened by Nathaniel, a young conjurer boy (a magician whose specialty in summoning technic) who summon a 5000 years old djinni named Bartimaeus in secret. Despites his young age, Nathaniel possess great talent as a magician yet unrecognized by his master. One day, an incident happened at Nathaniel’s master house and he was humiliated by an official magician named Simon Lovelace. 

Upset by his master action that choose not to protect him, he planned to take a revenge by himself together with Bartimaeus. Little that he know his revenge plan will lead him into a middle of dark and bloody conspiracies aim to overthrown the government.

Follow the adventures of Nathaniel and Bartimaeus as they struggle to survive from greater power that hunt them to retrieve what was stolen from them. And the action made by Nathaniel to end the chase.

All to say, The Bartimaeus Trilogy : The Amulet of Samarkand offers a briliant and spectacular storyline. Nathaniel and Bartimaeus interaction will leaves a strong impression in the readers mind forever, as they talk back to each other with sharp and witty sentences. A must have fantasy novel for a fantasy novel lovers.
