The Golem’s Eye is the second edition of The Bartimaeus Trilogy fantasy novel made by Jonathan Stroud. The story continues after Nathaniel and the 5000 years old djinni Bartimaeus succesfully thwarts Simon Lovelace dark conspiracies to overthrow the London government. Losing his master after the attack, he was assigned to be an apprentice of Jessica Whitwell. A powerful and influential magician in the London government body.

Acknowledged by his new master, Nathaniel receives new knowledges and intense trainings to be an elite among elites. Now, Nathaniel has grown up and occupies a seat in the government body. He is responsible to find out anything about Resistance (a group of non-magician human who rebel against the magician) and personally he want to know more about the identity of the little girl who rob him in the past.

Little that he know a new threat is about to come. A dark, powerful, and ancient magic will roam the street of London once again, leaving a complete destruction in its path. Forcing Nathaniel to go to foreign country to uncover the secrets. Not only that, Nathaniel and Bartimaeus will have to fight a crazy Afrit released by the Resistance. Together with Bartimaeus, they will begin a new adventure.

All to say, the second book of The Bartimaeus Trilogy offers a brilliant and thrilling story continuing the first book. The sharp and witty comments from Bartimaeus will entertain readers mind for once again. Bewitching you to turn page after page and read it once again after you are done. A very recommended fantasy novel.
