Inheritance, the final showdown between Eragon and Galbatorix, between the Varden and the Empire, would Eragon win through I found myself asking. Surely he must but how could he against Galbatorix and the strength of the dragons heart of hearts enslaved to him. I eagerly purchased the book on the release day and delved straight into it wanting to know how it all ended.
With great anticipation I looked forward to reading the last of 'The Inheritance Cycle' by Christopher Paolini only to find myself somewhat dissapointed. After being blown away by the first in the series, Eragon, I found Inheritance to be lacking the same fluidness and falir that was so ever present in the first novel. Unimaginative and dull, lacking in creativity from the start, I had hoped the book would improve as I delved further into it, my hopes were misplaced. The writing from the onset was lacking in elegance. Perhaps though this book will find appeal in the youth as it did when I classed myself amongst them several years ago. Perhaps this is why I have found myself so let down in the finale of the series.
All in all if you have read the other books in the series then yeah read this one aswell just to find out how it finishes, but don't be expecting the wonders of the first book.
