Conspiracy Theory:
This abstract is a work of fiction .
Rajiv was a 18 year old who had dreams of becoming a
spy. As he grew up he nurtured his dreams and finally ended up being recruited in “RAW” (India’s secret service). He was posted in Delhi as deputy commissioner to
Anirudh a 40 something spy who had loads of experience and a quick wit .A solid combination for a spy.
Trouble began on a cold winter morning in November . a frantic phone call meant that they had to go . they reached the I.G airport and were led to a Jet Airways SU-234 . the aircraft had a dead body and it looked like the body was of a most wanted terrorist “Pinto”(wanted by the INTERPOL AND FBI) who had
killed him remained a question?
What was a dreaded terrorist doing in India and that too he was dead .but who may have killed him? Was it a signal to something more dreaded happening in this country! Anirudh asked rajiv to go and look out for all the details about pinto .rajiv came back and said pinto was traveling from Athens to delhi . and he was alive until the air hostess tried to wake him up. The post mortem suggested that he had been poisoned .
Anirudh and rajiv were asked to go to Athens and find out more about the truth. they both left for Athens and met mr.Ram Sharma another spy working in the Indian consulate in Athens . Sharma informed that pinto was recently seen meeting a few FBI agents .
Anirudh was surprised why would a most wanted man meet the FBI. Sharma said that he had successfully planted a mole in the FBI who always provided him information about the American viewpoint over India.he was the one who had said that the Americans came to know about a conspiracy plot and needed Pinto’s help into that.
Anirudh and Sharma were somehow convinced that the plot would vex Indian interests too.but the mystery further deepened when Sharma was informed that the “mole” was discovered and killed by the FBI. It was then they decided that Rajiv was the next mole who had to infiltrate the FBI and pass the information from there.
Rajiv had to play a double game that of a greek intelligence agent and another of the mole. somehow he managed to convince the FBI agent “sam”( who was known for his bringe drinking ways) that he was suitable to pass information from the greek intelligence to FBI. One day sam led rajiv to a house where he showed him a video clip where two men with white coats were seen discussing about a plot to kill the first lady of the USA while she was touring Greece. The first man was identified as a greek intelligence agent but the other person was not a known identity.he asked rajiv to help him.
Rajiv somehow managed to copy that clip and showed it to anirudh.he was surprised to learn about that plot but soon released that the other man was a familiar face.
Anirudh was always suspicious about Sharma but his suspicion was confirmed when he met maya a former sharma’s associate she told that Sharma had suddenly became rich and had been meeting a greek man frequently. anirudh did a research of his own and found that Sharma had lied to him about the mole he planted in FBI.
Rajiv came to anirudh and said that sam had grew suspicious about him and was after him. Anirudh decided to confront sam. Both met at a hotel and after listening to anirudh and rajiv sam said that he had always suspected Sharma and that pinto had met him and his partner saying that he had received an offer to kill the first lady from two foreign agents who worked in the Indian consulate. But pinto had run away to India.sam was surprised when anirudh told him that pinto had died and it was the reason why they were here. Both promised each other full cooperation.
Sharma on sensing that his game was up tried to flee but he was shot and he revealed a foreign plot about killing the firstlady. He said he and his friend were paid 20 billion $’s as advance .he said the foreign agents had asked him to pay Pinto 5 billion $ but the plot failed when pinto tried to turn himself to FBI..he was killed when he tried to escape .Sharma said that his partner was also killed and that the bad guys were going to kill him too.
Sharma failed to identify the agents who had given him the ransom .he was extradited to India and rajiv and anirudh were given gallantry awards and promotions for their brilliant work which saw the cloud of suspicion wither away between the two countries making the two countries friends again.
But who were the agents who plotted the whole scheme.what would have happened if pinto wouldn’t have turned himself ? there are many questions still asked but as usual very few answers.
