I used to
read the novels and poetry by J. R. Tolkein when I was procrastinating from doing homework or making the supper. It is no wonder that the Lord of the Rings, the Musical was not a success. The producers were trying to squeeze an epic into a few hours.I prefered the
story, The
Hobbit, which is a precurser to the trilogy, The Lord of the Rings. The Hobbit explains what exactly a hobbit is. The hero, Bilbo Baggins, goes on an adventure with several dwarfs. He returns to his home, an entirely different person.I read The Hobbit when I was in grade eight. My teacher didn't seem to mind that I took so long to read it once I explained to him about the story.
