“Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” is written by J.K.Rowling. It is the second book of the Harry Potter series dealing
with the adventures of the little boy wizard. Harry is spending a dull summer in the Dursleys’ house, when he is visited by a strange visitor—Dobby the house elf. He warns Harry not to go back to his
school as there will be horrible incidents occurring in the school. Dobby even makes such circumstances that Uncle Vernon locks him up in his room and does not let him go to school.
But then Ron and the Weasley twins (Fred and George) come to the rescue. And then several unnatural events occur which makes Harry and Ron almost get expelled.
Then one night Mrs. Norris—Filch’s cat is
petrified and there are writings on the wall warning people that the “Chamber of Secrets” has opened again. In the same way, many people are petrified and killed.
Professor McGonagall tells them that the Chamber of Secrets was created by Salazar Slytherin and his students to kill all the muggles in the school. Legend says that a hideous monster hides in the Chamber and every fifty years the heir to the Chamber comes, opens it and causes destruction.
But this time who is the heir to the Chamber? Who could possibly be so vicious?
