The Lost Boy

Book Review by: babeeyez21

Original Author: Dave Pelzer

The Lost boy is the tragic inspiring sequel to the Bestseller A Child Called
"IT". Beautifully written through the eyes of a young and severly abused Dave Pelzer. It depicts a foster childs struggle to gain acceptance and love in a cruel and unaccepting world. It is both heart warming and heart wrenching. A lonely lost child with no where to call home is shuffled into many foster homes. Each time he becomes accustomed to change , living out of a brown paper bag. Living in fear of his abusive mother who seems to only be steps away. As Dave grows to become accustomed to his new life he lets his naive and unknowing nature take over. He soon finds out the trust is something earned. He steals the hearts and affections of all of his foster families. While also landing himself into trouble with the authorities. In the end Dave finds himself and a place to call home. This book is a shining example of the hardships and trials of a child " in the system".
