They wanted to honeymoon in Albuferia (South Portugal) but had to return due to cash crunch.Chris became a conductor and Sue an insurance trainee. She quit after their daughter Tracey was born. Chris got promoted soon to an inspector.Chris got sacked. Sue part-timed at local fish-and-chips shop. Chris couldn''t find work but Sue got promoted. All seemed well again.Now Sue got sacked. Her Shop-owners wanted to sell the shop for five thousand. Chris

bought it. They worked hard and prospered. Holidayed in Albuferia often.Chris heard at Rotary club about a Category A Post Office, the most profitable one, on sale. They took loan of 100,000 and put in their 150,000and bought it. They bought a Labrador "Stamps" !Out of the blue, they got a notice downgrading their PO to category B. They were in a fix. They couldn''t repay their loan whether they ran the PO or sold it. They felt cheated and felt the PO HQ had stolen their hard earned money from them. Chris hatched a plan.They learned Portuguese, forged passports and got higher monthly working capital from HQ. They were banking on Christmas rush to avoid inquiries. The plan worked. They took exactly 250,000 from the PO visited Tracey and went to Dover. Unfortunately they didn''t have paperwork to take Stamps with them. They didn''t want to leave him behind. So they went to Tracey''s house and spent couple of sleepless nights and got Stamps ready. The tension got them.They finally decided to ditch the plan and go back and put all the money in the PO. However they were caught. They pleaded guilty.After serving a shorter prison term, they sold their property and went to Albuferia and opened a fish-and-chips shop.Stamps died while they were in prison.!!!
