Mutts, Mongrels, Mischief

Book Summary by: snowcat

Original Author: Edited by William B. Coates
This selection has some very famous, and humorous, authors.  Such as O. Henry, Mark Twain, Jean Kerr, Farley Mowat, and sixteen
more.
You will get to meet a variety of dogs.  Muggs, who thought he should bite everyone.  Except mice, of course.  Rex the bull terrier, who would carry anything; a 10 foot rail or a chest of drawers minus the drawers.  Kelly barked at everything, except burglars.  He chased swans, but couldn't swim.  Then there's Naylor the fighting dog, who took a dislike to the head of the house.
My particular favorite is Miss Demeanor of Northampton.  This delightful tale is by Ruth Lamson.  Missy runs away at every opportunity, is scatterbrained, and doesn't bark.  She shrieks.  She also acts terrified of everything.  But her quirks manage to bring her owner back together with his girlfriend.
It really is a fun read with all these stories.
