Aaron knocked on Nina''s door, his
mind has already convinced him that some disaster was about to strike. When she pulled it open, her
eyes wide, dark bags was sagging underneath them, his pulse quickened several beats.Aaron first thought was that she had some type of debilitating illness, like leukemia or maybe a late-stage breast cancer. shegestured for him to follow her. He saw that she was carrying something. It was real colorfully packaged rectangular
box. She started to glance over at him and followed his eyes downward. she held the box up toward his
face he nearly choked. " I needed you to be here". she said without looking at him. She had the voice of a surprisingly barren of emotion. She then begin to walk toward the bathroom. " just wait here she yelled. He watched the close and stood motionless for a few moments, as his legs were rooted to the spot.As he made his way toward the couch,His mind grappled with a jumbled mass of images, ofcrazy thoughts. He
sat down and
tried to
think logically, to put eventsin some kind of order. On the other side of the door , Nina covered her face with a towel so that Aaron wouldn''t hear her sobs. She was so con-fused by the terror that she had to think about each of her movements, toforce the messages down the brain stem to her fingers and handsShe removed her robe and sat down on the toilet seat. How the hell did she land here? Her mind tried to wrap itself around the last year. but even that was not enough. She had to go much further back to make sense of this.Aaron was complaining again. there she was thinking that their moving in together wasn''t the brightest idea in the world. They was about to get into yet another random argument about, well, nothing.
