Apparently, someone has betrayed the whole of America's military electronic program. Bekuv's only loyalty is to science, with his passion and all-consuming goal of establishing communication with other planets. Believing he will more readily realize this dream in America, he is lured to the US by
false promises of extensive research facilities. Actually, the CIA organizes and uses his defection as a means of tracking down the traitor. With all the false, misleading trails, the investigation that follows is intriguing. There are too many surprising twists and locations ranging from the Sahara Desert to Manhattan, Paris and Dublin. In the end, the complex plot falls into place.
