The Earth Chronicles Expeditions: Journeys to the Mythical Past

Book Review by: CatherineGallagher

Original Author: Zecharia Sitchin
This book details a number of historical/archaeological expeditions that the author
made to the Middle East and to
Central America, in search of the various truths about
the history of humanity, many (or most) of which are not generally or publically
acknowledged by contemporary conventional archaeology and history.
He took interested people on an expedition to the ruins of ancient Troy in Asia Minor. He
talks of various ancient artifacts, such as a toy elephant from preColumbian Central
America; pictures and statues of ancient astronauts, some in spacecraft. He goes into
the Sinai on a search for the mountain where Moses REALLY met with God. He looks
for an ancient spaceport in that area as well.
There are sixty (60) color plates and over one hundred (100) black and white
illustrations of artifacts and locations, buildings, and maps and natural features which
relate to ancient history.
This book has a great deal of speculation particularly realting to the possible presence
on Earth of extraterrestrial astronauts' presence (and effects on human culture and
history). It shows where his ideas come from, archaeologically and historically
speaking. There are pictures and illustrations and quotes unobtainable elsewhere. It is
an exciting book, as well as being intellectually challenging (although clearly and simply
written).
Much of the work in this book has to do with proving the historical accuracy and the
truth of the Bible.
