America: A Dream Come True

Book Summary by: yellowrose

Original Author: Susan Haven
Want to travel in America, either by train, driving, or flying?
A must read before travelling, find out about self
booking over the Internet, passing through airports and their security, it is a journal of my first four vacations in America and the best way to find out what it's like, from excitement to disasters. Which motels, hotels, and ranches I stayed at. Where I went, from New York to San Francisco, Texas to California and Wyoming, and what I found as a first time traveller. Using car rentals, internal flights, and Amtrak, the book includes all the routes travelled by road, plane or train, with descriptions of scenery such as the breathtaking Grand Canyon, The Alamo, Kanab, San Francisco, and the spectacular Canyon de Chelly.
Being stuck in Los Angeles during the horror of 9/11: sitting on the patio at Southfork Ranch: watching real rodeos: riding desert trails in Tucson.
All written by a first time traveller, America was found to be a fascinating place to visit, and easier to drive than you'd think, while the people are helpful and easy to talk to, the scenery superb, and the distances amazing. Written in an easy style, reviews to the author have been very enthusiastic, not one person has not enjoyed it.
