The narrative is from the eyes of Dr. Gonzo who is under the influence of one drug or the other through out the story and his lawyer who is a madcap drugging along with Dr. Gonzo in his adventures. Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas has also been made into a movie of the same name which starred Johnny Depp as the lawyer, Raoul Duke and Benicio Del Toro as Dr. Gonzo.
Dr. Hunter S. Thompson also known as Dr. Gonzo has been popular for coining the term Gonzo Journalism. He committed suicide by shooting himself with a gun on 20 Feb 2005.
