With the aid of the magical Travelling Pants, which has a "one size fits all" mechanism, the girls embark on a journey of self-discovery and find strength in one another. This book has a main theme surrounding the mother-daughter bond and also deals with sex and romantic relationships, peer pressure, death and just growing up.
The Second Summer of the Sisterhood is all-in-all a good read for a younger set of readers.
