My So-called Boyfriend

Book Review by: sueanne

Original Author: Elizabeth Winfrey
Tashi Pendelton doesn''t know why she loves her boyfriend, Michael Hobart.  Is it his sexy smile or his romantic style?
Actually, she doesn''t know much of anything lately.  All of her past thoughts and dreams disappeared after she hit her head in the train station.  But as Tashi''s memory slowly return, some things just don''t add up.  Why doesn''t the face in her flashbacks look like Michael''s?  And why does he get so nervous when she asks him how they met?  Doesn''t he want her to know about her past?  Or was he not a part of it ...?
..."Would you do me the honor?"  I heard a low, husky voice inquire.  "Excuse me?"  I said, in what I hoped was an indignant voice.  "Michael Hobart at your service," he responded.  He had a wide, mocking smile, and his eyes seemed to emit rays of light.  But I noticed immediately that his tux was slightly crumpled, and he''d already loosened the bow tie around his neck.  "Sorry, but my boyfriend wouldn''t appreciate you having your paws all over me,"  I said, mentally willing him to go away.  For a split second, Michael Hobart looked taken aback.  Then he winked at me again.  "Yes, insecure men are always so possessive," he responded.  He glided away just as William arrived with my punch.  "Who was that?" William asked.  "That was a nobody," I answered.  "An absolute nobody."...
