Sugar Secrets and Rivals

Book Review by: Mej1

Original Author: Mel Sparke
This wonderful book which is written by Mel Sparke is not the most suitable book for me. It is like Jacqueline Wilson’s book
but for slightly older children, if not teenagers. It is about friends because Kerry is best friends with Sonja – they always have been. It is also about betrayal as Ollie’s sister Natasha, the one who works as a model in London comes along and things just are not the same anymore. Then the word ‘rivals’ is next: How can Kerry possibly hope or dream of competing with glamorous model Natasha? ‘Lonely’ is the next and final word because Ollie might be going off with Elaine around the world and so Kerry has no support from her second best friend anymore. Is there friendship now shattered – find out in this book…
