Twilight

Book Abstract by: Insomniac23

Original Author: Stephenie Meyer

Isabella Swan, or Bella, as she likes to be called, found herself in Forks: a place which may have its

own charm but not for Bella. For her, Forks just did not have enough sun; and after Phoenix, where blue skies and the warmth of the sun come in boundless abundance, Forks was going to be a nightmare.
Despite Forks's dreary condition, Bella finds herself intrigued by the strange but beautiful personalities she meets at school, particularly Edward Cullen. Yet she cannot quite understand why Edward seemed repulsed by her. Hurt and utterly nonplussed, Bella resolves to ignore Edward, until Edward decides to speak to her anyway. And spoke to her he did, and more. Bella is now drawn to Edward, as the latter is drawn to her...but in much more different ways, and for entirely different reasons. Yet Bella is not afraid...
After Harry Potter (which I have summarized) and The Lord of the Rings (which I will summarize soon), the Twilight saga by Stephenie Meyer is on my list as the book series I would love to read again, and again. It brought vampires to a whole new level and teenage romance to a whole new dimension. The question as to whether or not to give up mortal life for a life of darkness, as Edward called it, seems to be a no-brainer. And the danger lies here...It was so easy, nay, effortless, for Bella to decide there and then to join the Cullens. I found it incredulous, initially, because I was not given a satisfactory background of Bella - the life she lived B.F. (before Forks). Now, thrown into the company of Edward and his family, she is all eagerness to join in. Maybe it was too fast for my liking, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. If anything, it was an entertaining read and mind you, can't wait for the second book.
"How old are you?"
"Seventeen," he answered promptly.
"And how long have you been seventeen?"
His lips twitched as he stared at the road.
"A while," he admitted at last.
