The Black Eyed Peas'front Man Defines Real Hip Hop

Book Summary by: Theman07

Original Author: Brian Miller
Today’s state of hip hop is on some other thing, (The) selected elitists who define what hip hop is don’t make hip hop. Which
some artist say it’s it telling their life story and how they grew in the ghetto, but question still remains do all these rappers had a bad child hood   or they are just sending bad message to the youths. As a young individual for me hip hop is  controlling rhyming  and also manipulating turntables  captivating the audience and utilizing a limited amount of tools , it is not the art form of graffiti, not because you write  on the wall don’t mean  it is  hip hop.  It is taking Jazz, blues, rock, soul and flipping it, flipping songs from  yesterday and putting it in away that people who wouldn’t necessary like rap could appreciate it. As in the article, the black eyed peas’ core fan base doesn’t give a kick. They don’t care if it’s mad lyrical. They just like the music, which to me is crazy because it has a lot to do with what is going on the in world of violence especially in the black community. As in the article when a lot of records is sell its not black people in the audience anymore. I say its selling fish to people that don’t live on lakes, And these guys love fish they called it selling out or they can call it selling fish. So if it is selling  why not make more positive music and  keep the real hip hop, and not this gangster thing let us try to make the world a better place with music, because the real hip hop is still alive.
