Princess Diaries

Book Review by: Mej1

Original Author: Meg Cabot
When Mia finds out her father is the Prince of Genovia, a little unknown country in Europe, she is flabbergasted. This meant
that she was the future heir to the throne since he had a cancer, which didn’t allow him to have anymore children.
Making it worse, the princess finds out her grandmother is giving her princess lessons – the woman who messed up her summer holidays with the high-and-mighty ways!
I like the fact that with problems with her friendship between her and her best friend, Lily, the poor girl is going to have to go through it all alone until she makes friends with Tina Hakim Baba, the daughter of a Saudi Arabian oil sheik and a British former supermodel who has a bodyguard which makes her a ‘freak’.
I don’t like it when the press find out, Princess Amelia "Mia" Thermopolis Mignonette Grimaldi Ronaldo is more popular than she has ever been; her cheerleader enemy, Lana, suddenly starts being very friendly and Josh Richter, a boy she used to like, takes her to the big dance before realising he was using her…
