The
heart area of Eurasia ia located in the western mountainous region of Junggar Basin(45°3O' ~47°N, 82°30', ~84°30'E),
Xinjiang, China, and is the interlocating zone of the sub - morphologic units including Tacheng Basin, Wurihaxiayi Mountain, Barbuluk Mountain, Kupu Intermountane Basin, etc, In the paper, the area is classified into five tourist sub -regions based on the differences of the regional
tourist resources, economic development, and natural and human environment so as to rationally develop and utilize the tourist resources by taking measures suited to the local conditions. In the mountainous areas, it is suggested to develop the synthetical tourism by fully utilizing the rich natural tourist resources, such as to develop mountainous sightseeing, mountain-climbing, sci entific exploration, summer resorts, view and admiration of culture of the minority nation alities, ect. In Tacheng Basin, it is suggested to bring the local tourist superiority into full play by combining the culture of the minority nationalities, borderland trade, and natural landscapes, and to make all the efforts to connect the tourist of the heart of Eurasia in Tacheng Basin with the tourist of the geographical center of Asian continent near Urumqi so as to promote the rapid development of tourism in this area.
