Shenzhen is an important subitropical coastal city in south China,which is rich in coastal tourism resources.For the last
twenty years,the tourism industry of Shenzhen mainly relied on development of artificial theme parks,while the rich coastal tourism
resources were ignored.In order to avoid repeated low-level exploitation and realize the government's aim of building Shenzhen into a beautiful coastal city,the development of the coastal tourism resources should abide the strategy of large scale,high grade,humanity,differentity and regional-cooperation.In this paper,an overall tourism planning the east and west coastlines in Shenzhen is discussed.It is suggested that the east coastline be divided into five sections,which are Shatoujiao historical and cultural tourism zone,Meisha mountain and sea tourism zone,Xiasha seaside resort,Dongchong and Xichong high-grade seaside resort,and Dapeng science,education and culture resort,while the west coastline be divided into four section,which are Oversea Chinese City entertainment tourism zone,Long Coast Corridor tourism zone,World on the sea sightseeing zone,and the Pearl River Mouth water village tourism zone.The division could provide guidance for the development of the coastlines of Shenzhen.
