calls for a deep understanding of their tourist barriers.We should try to explore the constitution and differentiation of tourist barriers in terms of their different occupation types,different ages,different genders and different types of cities.This paper,taking residents of VIC in Xi'an as an object of research,carries on a demonstrative study by adopting questiounaire.The study finds that there exists common tourist barriers among VIC residents and different types of clusters have disparity in varying degree about different sensitive degree of different barriers.The tourist barriers of VIC residents are mainly of economic and time factors.In accordance with the analysis results,the paper puts forward strategic suggestions aiming at changing the present situation,providing some advice for tourism enterprises,government and the expansion of tourism destinations.
