By conducting a survey of questionnaires and interviews,this research aims to find out the interests,travel intentions,possible
travel partners and information resources of the potential foreign tourists,particularly from America and Australia,to 2008
Beijing Olympic Games so as to provide valuable information for the organizers of Beijing Olympic Games,relative businesses and individuals to establish their effective marketing strategy to attract more potential foreign spectators to Beijing Olympic Games.The survey suggests that there are about half(53%) of the respondents who are interested in Beijing Olympic Games,but only few(3.0%) of them currently have the intention to travel.It seems that the past experiences of "whether having been to China"and "whether often travelling abroad to watch sporting events" have a significant impact on their travelling
intentions.In addition,the possible travelling partners are friends or family,and the primary information resource for Beijing Olympic Games is Internet.
