Tourist agriculture is a new industry that combines agriculture and tourism on the base of agriculture, the development of
which can effectively exploit the limited agricultural resources. The outskirts of Mianyang City, with a good condition for
tourist agriculture, is developing a hopeful tourist agriculture with different types such as: fruits and flowers for display, popular country culture, places for vacation and recreation, places for fishing and forests for tourism, which are mainly distributed along several key highways near the city proper. With crops-planting as the main form and longjiale'as the main deal, these businesses, with small investment, are strongly seasonal. Other problems existed include: small scope of the business, similar mold of development,
insufficient infrastructure, lower quality of the employees and insufficient marketing advertisement.The solution is: to consider fully about the condition of position and market, to combine as closely as possible with tourism and the construction plans of the city and the country to form four tourist agriculture zones with different features.
