This book reveals the secrets to become great speaker in front of audience, especially for those who don’t like presenting in front of audience for any reasons. The secrets cover things needed a person to know in front of the audience: the speaker’s attitude, modulate voice, using presentations, and handling questions.
Audience will look at the attitude and the appearance of the speaker. The attitudes that audience like from one speaker such as integrity, genuineness, enthusiasm, sense of humor, and humility. Appropriate dress is also one key for appearance.
As speaker, your voice is very important. This book also covers the secret to modulate your voice, such your volume, pitch, quality and pace.
Giving appropriate presentation is another secret. The color you use, editing your speech before you speak, avoiding “laundry list” in your presentation are another secrets you must know. One of famous phrase is “if you don’t edit yourselves before you speak, your listeners will do it as you speak”.

The secrets are also included how you handle questions from audience. It is discussed how you handle difficult questions such as show off questions, off the subject questions, hostile/ dumb questions. One pattern the author suggests is to answer question with pattern “SEER” (Summary, Elaborate, Examples, and Restatement).
If you want to be a better speaker, this book will be a great help for you.
One law you always must be aware of is Murphy’s Law: “anything that can go wrong, they will”.
