journalists, lawyers, business executives and even bankers can be successful environmentalists!
Where are these jobs most likely to be found?
• In the Government Sector – as regulators and policy-makers
• In the Business Sector – as consultants and advisers
• In NGOs (Non Government Organizations) – as managers
• In the Education Sector – as teachers and researchers
• In the Media – in newspapers, magazines and T.V.
The environment has emerged as a key issue in the modern economy; as the need for sustainable development requires developing more efficient processes, using fewer resources and producing less waste. 5. Environmentalists regulate the impact of human activities upon the environment.
6. Environmentalists promote organic farming – that is, farming without the excessive use of chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
7. Environmentalists protect the wildlife.
8. Environmentalists promote green (environmentally-conscious) architecture.
But one thing that all environmentalists possess in common is motivation, in the form of commitment and passion, to save the planet. They believe that they can make a difference to the world that they live in; without compromising their lives or careers.
