Burnout? SAP India MD Ranjan Das dies of heart attack
Burnout or whatever is the reason of
death, the sad demise of Ranjan Das is inconsolable and much unexpected.
Life is unpredictable in anyway one may wants to judge. Good food habits, disciplined routine, regular exercise, nothing can stop the inevitable that happens all of a sudden. The introspection is necessary for others to learn from that, but the departed soul will not come back ever. The mental pressure with huge brain activities could be one way responsible for those to succumb to the pressure despite of their healthy life style. Moreover, frequent traveling to different countries with inconsistent time zones can affect our health drastically, experts opine.
Ranjan was the youngest chief executive in India, who accomplished this feat with his sheer intelligence, education, and hard working that has gone into void by the tragic
heart attack at this young age. Full of vigor and enthusiasm, he stayed away from all the ill habits such as smoking, drinking, and junk food. As a disciplines man, he seldom missed his daily exercise in his tight work schedule.
He did his graduation from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and MBA from Harvard. His entrepreneur skill was found in his own company Patkai Networks that he opened in the Silicon Valley. In the year 2007, he joined the software maker SAP, being the chief executive of the Indian Operations. According to Nagraj Bhargava, an ex-director of Marketing and Strategic initiatives, SAP India, who worked with Ranjan for one and half years, Ranjan was a smart, intelligent, and ambitious person. His premature death has brought grief in the whole SAP family; Geraldine McBride, the President of SAP Asia Pacific is full of praise about Ranjan.
He was based in Mumbai, and his funeral will be carried out in this city only on Thursday. His wife and two children survive him.
