The 7th Istanbul
International Gastronomy Festival on 21 - 24 March 2009.
Talented Young Cooks can compete to win: Gold, Silver, Bronze Awards .. and will deal with
"Kitchen", "Larder, "pastry", "works in fat", "practical theatre" "Best" "Competition"..
Its interesting that the Turkish Digest focuses on Gastronomy and that Istanbul is holding this Gastronomy International Festival this month as recently I read a newsboard saying that /One in Four Bars have been closed in Southampton: UK/That was in the University area of this City. It must cut into the economy of the city significantly, but I hasten to add .... a favourite Bar and Restaurant here ... Wetherspoons is still open and is serving especially on St. Patricks Day .. in fact they were all dressed up .. all in green topped with Green Top Hats .... yesterday.
So I hope when all the young cooks assemble at the 7th Istanbul International Gastronomy Festival this month .. the food produced by the winners is shared out with the rest of us .... nice work! Equally, we get our invitations out to taste the best of Istanbul Food Fare ... I promised my friend the Magistrate that upon winning the prize cheque for poetry I would take here out to dine here around the corner from me ... soon!
