Joanna Lumley is angry about litter in the UK and has blogged that she is determined to wipe out litter on the streets of
the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. We have something in common Joanna Lumley and the writer apart from sharing the same age/63 and being something of the Sixties Iconic Generation Class!. Which brings us together is a common dislike of litter. Only the other day I was travelling on Southampton City Buses and two teenagers got out and the place was strewn with
sweetie papers, rubbish and it was impossible for anyone to sit in those seats as they could slip on the sweetie papers or the litter which had been dumped under the seats! Its a shame - that people will not learn to tip litter in the bins provided ... at the front of the bus or just as one gets off at the bus stop there is a big bin marked "Litter bin" and all you have to do is dump the litter in the bin and not expect Joanna Lumley or the writer to come behind you cleaning up all the litter in the UK! Hard work!
