Leadership in the organizations is some times not having honesty & integrity. They preach some thing, & do some thing else. In twenty five Chapters, the author discusses various aspects of this subject. This book is based on, world wide survey of 139 offices, in 29 professional firms, in 15 countries, in 15 different lines of business, & several case studies. The survey has revealed that the attitudes, enthusiasm & morale of employees, were closely related to the financial performance, & that the most successful companies gave adequate attention, to matters like team work, high standards, development of the employees & commitment to the clients etc. If people get priority in their organizations, they will create, & look after the company clients, in the best possible manner. Based on his research, the author has presented new evidence, to some of the old conclusions. Also a list of 20 standards is given, which should be maintained by the managers. For creating a feeling of community in the organization, further 51 points given should be adopted. Based on the results of the surveys & case studies, 24 recommendations are given for implementation. Similarly, for creating an energizing work place, 64 suggestions are provided, besides 14 ways of appreciating & rewarding non-financially. For combining workplace & fun, 21 actions are suggested to be taken. It points out areas often neglected by the management, but which are essential for good results. It is necessary to make, an extra ordinary culture in the organization. It is a good reading material in plain language, for the managers of the organizations. It gives practical advice, draws attention of the management to the human aspects, & provides the lessons, which in general, are useful & beneficial for management in any business organization.[BR]
