Honesty the best Policy?
Promoters of Effective Management style do not recognize this sacred Principle of life. Most of the honest are suffering. They are left behind.
What ultimately counts – is success story. Honesty or no honesty never became a contentious issue. Success or governance or control makes the difference. The means adopted are through this way or that way, in an honest manner or not are a subjective study. Survival, survival after success, control and struggle for survival and control is a major story line today. Even earlier, it was so. Some one was propagating by saying that, being honest to one, might be a matter of dishonesty to the other. So it is more of a matter of perception.
To fetch medicine for ailing family member, if one tends to manipulate to earn, or not fall in queue, or lie, or make a fraud, or even steals- is an honest effort for a good cause. So one is honest to the cause, relative or a family member. Whereas other publics are cheated, manipulated or deceived- tantamount to dishonesty.
Is it primarily, a matter of emotions, spirits and not the action? Yes-it needs to be understood that way only.
Today law does not permit one to behave one way or the other, so one is abiding by the law honestly. Tomorrow law changes, and if one does not comply with in letter or spirit, he or she, person becomes delinquent. The principle remains, identity of person changes. It seems to be a paradox.
Every day, we are witnessing an upsurge of, growing prosperity of honest traders, service providers, manufacturers, politicians, bureaucrats.They are all being applauded for their aptitude. Every single villain in business or politics, or in social life builds up, commands respect, wealth, through a battery of dedicated manpower, honest and loyal to their boss/employer. May be the objective of an individual ,organization ,society or community be survival, live or let live, live and not let live, they build up only on honest workers dedicated to the cause of an individual, or community, society or organization. May it be a sacred cause, or a act of sin- their commitment is sought honestly.
So the crux remains. Honest feelings, relationship, binding, commitment is required for growth or prosperity in any direction. Being dishonest amounts to deceiving oneself. And that is where, whole theory of this Policy evolved, rests. But many do not recognize this phenomenon. Most do not understand this concept of SELF .So it may be difficult for them to understand interior and ulterior motives of self which govern them. Defining good or bad may be very subjective.
Some one said many don’t believe in God, good deeds or bad deeds, or sins, or Karma or reaping the deeds in this or next life. How to really convince them about this Policy. That is the reason this sacred principle is a matter of Policy. It is said - That is a conscious decision taken by Learned People of Britain which is accepted universally i.e. `Honesty is the best Policy`.No stigma of religion, God given guideline, or any ism has been attached .It is a value which needs no religious recognition but still adopted by all. This has worked. One who follows this enjoys self respect, recognition by others, society,and
