The Kama Sutra of Business: Management Principles from Indian Classics

Book Review   by:TWNUGROHO     Original Author: Nury Vittachi
ª

This book presents management principles derived from some Indian Classics: Vishnugupta Chanakaya''s Arthashastra ; Vatsyayana''s Kama Sutra ; Sidharta Gautama''s teaching; and Bhagavad Gita . The author of this book describes the content of her book in nine chapters, and each chapter discusses the thought and values from the Indian classic thinkers. Referring to Arthashastra, one can see how Chanakya, among the limitation, built self-confidence, determination needed by the leader, and the right mindset. All of these values are explained in modern business language. Essentially limitation does not hinder us to to great and strategic things. Another point is that leadership will be possible only if there is some help from the other. In othe words, team work is very important to get success.
