She sells from ad agencies  to restaurant, expatriate women run many successful business in the sity and NCR.

Alecca Carrano , a fation designer og greek origin, had been running high -end fashion stores in France and Italy for three years only, when she felt stagnation creep in . So she decided to explore opprtunities in China and India Itself.. The two countries that looked most exciting to do business.
For many years , Carrano ponderd over wich country to choose . Finally, in 2006, she felt India call and decided to come to Delhi... wow!

Three years past and she feels that her her decision is right.

Today Carrano owns a factory in Noida and astore in upscale Sunder Nagar, which sells her high-end cloths, with her own name as brand.... It is so nice!

" we choos India because language is not barrier here, and Indian culture is pretty close to oriental culture, I feel at home here," says Carrano.

Black and white framed picturs of both Indian and foreign models wearing her dresses adorn the walls of the store.

Dutch to Desi

Like Carrano, Lalita de Goederenvan Lamsweerde, 30, came to India to start her own business.... and like Carrano she was looking at both China and India and finally decide to stay here inIndia for her business.

She says " I always had a dream to set up my own business  India was a hot business destination; besides I had an emotional connection with this country. " she said her father had studied at BHU( Banaras Hindu Univercity) in the early sixties and was so smitten by the country that he decided his daughter an Indian name.

Lamsweerde stared Bagel's Cafe, a1000 sq fit. two-storied restaurant in Gurgaon in June this year.she is happy with responce her Cafe is received.

" most of my customers are Indians and NRI's, says Lamsweerde, the mother of a five month old boy!

Noreen van Holstein, another Dutch women owns" Gotcha'!Impact Media' an advertising copany that specializes in postcard avvertiesment, a concept , she says , relatively unexplored in India! Her company has tieups with reataurants , cinemas,bookstores and Cafes across the country.

Holstein... is a director and creative bead of the company, started with 3 employees four years back ; today she has a team of 17. she says " I came to India 6 years ago with my journalist husband. I realised there was a huge potential as far as innovative advertising is concerned,".

.... this the story of successful business women from other countries....
